Not sure many of you will relate to this, but in a big music guy.
People have this thing where if you make hyperpop, you’re automatically a “clone” of either Brakence or 2hollis. Because hyperpop beats sound similar. Most of them have a similar vibe, it’s not fucking cloning, it’s just like rap, fucking half of the rappers out sound the exact same too if you wanna compare
Also people hate the genre
When it is WAY more creative, melodic, and usually has way more tasteful lyrics than a ton of shit out there. I know people in general have pretty shit taste though anyways, if we’re talking on a large scale so I get it, but I’d be lying if I said it’s not annoying. It takes skill to pull off good hyper pop making it from scratch.
I guess, if you don’t make it from scratch I’m not quite as impressed. Either way, I love a lot of hyperpop. It’s far better than rap. There’s shit hyper pop just like there’s shit rap. Not all hyperpop is “I got a sugar cras” garbage
