I became familiar with their ideas even earlier in the late 90s, when I bought a pirated CD from a bazaar named "hacking tools" or something like that. Besides tutorials about hacking, there were also books about white supremacy, right-wing ideology, how to build bombs, conduct guerilla warfare, survivalism, etc.

The bazaar is just an open-air market, you could find there many pirated CDs, DVDs, etc., you see before the Internet, that's where we were getting our games, music, movies, software, etc...Occasionally you could also find discs with ebooks about more fringe subjects, hacking, conspiracy theories, etc.
