i never had a imaginary friend growing up, only recently. i can control when i see her and when i don't want to. she's a source for maternal love, companionship, feeling safe, feeling chosen/belonging, and friendship. i use fantasy to cope with a lot of things that aren't present in my life, this is just like really obvious to me that it's cope. having her around and also just fantasizing in general has helped me find some underlying issues that i have. i've stopped fantasying recently because im trying to find healthier ways to cope like talking about my problems. like ik evb is gonna DNR this thread but it helps to talk about it to the people and not journal about it. i kind of feel like noir from the boys or like bronies who used to edit mlp characters into real life footage when i talk to her, it's a very unique experience.
