we can’t see God’s face because He looks so unbelievably perfect that it would just be too much for us to handle. If He’s the “true Adam,” meaning the literal flawless template of humanity, then every ideal trait — perfect symmetry, flawless skin, unmatched presence — would be maxed out beyond imagination. Compared to that, we wouldn’t even be in the same league. He’d completely mog us all without trying. It’s not meant to be serious theology, just a funny way of exaggerating the idea of divine perfection. Like, if absolute beauty and presence existed at an infinite level, our brains would probably short-circuit trying to process it. So instead of us seeing the full reveal, we just get the filtered version of reality. It’s basically the ultimate “face reveal” that humanity isn’t ready for — not because of mystery or fear, but because the glow-up would be cosmically unfair.
