I have an extremely bad overbite, ever since I went to the dentist years ago me and my parents were told I had an extremely bad overbite and that my lower jaw was extremely recessed, My Dad has a slight overbite but the dentist even said it wasn't as bad as his and that the best way to fix it is to get the surgery bsso and that would have to be done after I turn 18 or a few years later once theyve done all of the checkups(im 17 rn) I have a checkup in a year from now for where theyll asses to see if I really need the surgery or if there are any alternative options.
Idk how I can softmaxx tho atm as ive tried all the basic things like improving my hair and facial contrast by using colored contact lenses and clearing my skin but my main issue is my lower third does anyone know any soft maxes or frauds I can do to save me as its my biggest flaw on my face and its so bad you it even effects my front profile

As long as it doesnt affect your breathing then Its not really that big of an issue, just jutt in order to not appear recessed in public

Bonesmashing and jutting can help

its a big issue, it fucks up all your teeth aesthetics and makes your smile weird. it descends your side profile hard. jutting is not a permanent fix and will probably give him tmj

Ask your orthodontist to pull all your premolars back amd retract everything and thank me later ❤️✨

overbite doesnt inherently mean crowded teeth

smile isnt affected by it

Descends Side profile if you keep your bite in that position

Jutting wont give you TMJ its simply pushing your Jaw a little forward/ where your natural bite wouldve been

im not talking about crowded teeth, your smile literally looks weird with an overbite

so you want him to jutt for rest of his life? not happening

jutting expesically when you have a bad case of overbite will irritate muscles leading to tmj

Dnr but try orthodontics

An underbite contributes to a weird looking smile

Everyone has an overbite to a certain extent

The change is unnoticeable

Regarding TMJ in severe jutting cases the chances of getting TMJ is close to 10%

If he wants to fix his bite he can absolutely do that, mild jutting could become a habit so you wont have to worry about constantly pushing your Jaw forward
