I can look through runclub photos on instagram.

glance for 1 second:

immediate internal monologue "oh shit is this brutal?"

Take a second inspection next 2-5 seconds.

My brain goes:


“Potentially brutal.”
→ inspect clothes, faces, setting, vibe, crowd composition.
→ “Actually, no. Acceptable.”


Next photo:
“Potentially ideological.”
→ inspect.
→ “Nope. False alarm.”


Next:
“Wait, this looks elite. There's some hot girls in this pic, might be good?”
→ inspect harder.
→ “Ah. There’s the cope. The guys at the back are coping. Can see their phrenological expressions”

I’ve basically built a deranged little visual class/aesthetic classifier with an extremely high initial false-positive rate. The first judgment is hostile; the second judgment is usually much more calibrated.
