you either figure out whats trendy, how to dress for your body type and stick to basics, or do a lot of research on history of brands and develop a more unique style
most of the time if you wanna appear "trendy" and "stylish" (to normies) you should just copy outfits from pinterest, most people dont care about clothes

imo you should spend more money on shoes and outerwear, coats, leather jackets etc. quality and construction -wise theres most likely very little difference between a $50 and $1000 t shirt, because its just a cotton t shirt
you likely have a problem with being too easily influenced by the things you see online, though that applies to 99% of people, i also have that. try to find something common in all the items you like

Yeah honestly most of the times i just wear whatever i find at the store and seems trendy, but i do enjoy some of the shit that is mainstream, for example nike techs are actually comfy as fuck, and workwear i've been using my whole life because i do work in manual labor sometimes but just as a hobby
