its not a good idea for a young person to get a transplant if medication isnt used, cant be tolerated or isnt efficient

most white people with hairloss end up between norwood 5-7 and thats a stage that normally cant be sufficient be covered anymore with grafts (keep in mind the donor will thin out over time to, no persons donor is as dense with 60 as it was with 25)

only case where its recommendable would be is the person is 100% sure he/she wont bald past the norwood 4 stage.

just an example:

average the norwood 1 to norwood 5 area consists in a non balding male of 50.000 hairs, that means 25.000 folicles. for illusion of hair you need at least 50%, so 12.500 folicles. average donor is 6.000.
