the point is not to get lucky, its to become a master of your mind, body and life. Obviously there isnt a big guy with a beard in the clouds, but there is observable happiness in overcoming your battles with a powerful mind. If youre intelligent enough, you don't need to do whatever the bible says, you might need to act selfishly sometimes and you wont always succeed in every situation in a way that you would be happy with. For me, the most important thing is learning your lessons and improving on how you act, think and live after each battle you face and for that there is a good amount of high quality guidance in Christianity.
