I don’t know how to behave around them. It happened in uni too when I first came to Canada. Was sitting with my white friend and her trans friend. When the friend left I said “wow she had really deep voice, almost fooled me cause she looked like a woman” and then the white girl started scolding me that it’s not right for me to say that and she IS a woman.
I just told her that in my country they don’t exist so i don’t know how to be tactful around them and she became quiet, doing mental calculations in her head of privilege, whether I win out as a ethnic manlet from a terrorist country or the white guy who turned into a woman
