Jfl just when I thought I could start coping with masturbation/toys etc I get penis balanitis that hasn't gone away in weeks and so far attempts to treat it with creams or drugs have done nothing. I've read lots of horror stories about penis balanitis being permanent/lasting for decades.

Most balanitis is mild and only lasts a few days. If it lasts for 2+ weeks (already the case with me), then it means you have what is called "chronic/serious Balanitis". This can be for life. Generally, if you've had it for weeks or months on end, and drugs don't work, it means you're fucked. Imagine having inflamed genitals and permanent sexual difficulties for the rest of you life. Unless this shit gets better soon, following whatever treatment my doctor has in store for me, then I'm fucked. It's not normal for balanitis to last for 2 weeks, or for anti-fungal pills to not do anything. If that happens, then it is over for your dick 90% of the time.
