When I was in high school I got arrested for fighting. I was so ashamed that I developed an anxiety disorder and avoided people for the next 6 years.
In middle school I embarrassed myself playing volleyball one time. I didn't know how to serve the ball and ended up hitting the net. I never played the sport again after that. I would fake being sick to avoid it.
I still cringe until I lose sleep over stupid things I said or did as a child.
Now we live in a world where people literally piss, puke, and shit on each other in front of millions on the internet with zero shame. Men pretend to be women in public. Women openly fuck dogs. And they all go about their daily lives like nothing happened. Many will build successful careers, get married and have children.
Life is absurd.
