Half thr math courses that my school mandated for a CS degree have 0 application in the real world tbh. Only fringe cases and very specific problems. I learnt entire discrete mathematics for an entire semester only for 4 questions that appeared in my Artificial Intelligence paper. And discrete was a prerequisite for taking up AI related courses.

I got 62/100. I know it's nothing to write home about but with half my class failing and this being my weak subject I think I did ok. Perhaps the biggest irony of the situation is that as a CS major. My classmates and I won't be using differential equations ever again. It's completely useless...

How useful is discrete math for job prospects? I took a initial discrete math which was compulsory and went over basics, but further discrete math isn't required which goes into more details on cryptography and graph theory.
