I am usually too ND to look up from the floor but today I saw an older woman struggling to get water juggs from the top shelf and I helped her

Small gesture but its not even about that I am proud of myself for interacting with another human

I don’t like helping women unless there is something in it for me

There was something in it for me, practicing human interaction, and someone finally looked at me like I was a human

That's not something in it for you. Something in it for you would be getting paid

all i can do is laugh genuinely
Kek one time I was using my powerful snowblower and seen some old lady who lives on the same road struggling to shovel her snow so I just used my machine and did my own area and then put it away without paying her any mind. Now if she had come to me and offered some incentive to go over and help her I would happily have. No money = no help, at least for a random stranger foid. Now for my grandpa, I do his free of charge because he deserves it and was always good to me when he was more able to do stuff so I return the deed.

Yeah ik but the point is still the same. I don't have much interest in helping women unless something is in it for me.

I’m gonna try to talk to strangers more, my town is mostly old people and they are usually rly friendly so it shouldn’t be challenging
