I have had a steady pain in the back right of my skull like inside of it and recently it’s gotten worse and i cant type for shit this thread i had to correct typos in almost every word should i tell my mom abt this and ask for a ct scan or smt holy fuck i cant type i have no coordination

i had 5 brain tumors. what they ended up being were hemangioblastomas. they're completely benign, but one of mine formed a cyst that swelled up and was pushing my brainstem way out of place (i was walking diagonal a couple days before i went to the er cuz of this ). it was also nearly blocking fluid from draining down something on the spine idk what i forgot.

so anyway i was in the er all day, then overnight, then the evening of the next day the ambulanced me to a better hospital. they didnt let me leave at all or anything cuz they said the cyst might block the draining and kill me. if i didnt go i woulda died cuz of this. op tell ur mom. so then i stay in the icu at the good hospital for a couple days and have brain surgery eventually. they cut out the bad tumor and 3 others, but left one cuz it was far away. they also went ahead and cut off a chunk of one of my vertebrae so they could get a tumor out of that.

recovery from this was definitely ass. they cut out part of my brain that controls motor skills so i had to relearn to use my right arm and half of my face. im about 7 weeks post op now and fairly normal. and it hurt like a bitch because they had to saw the neck muscles in half to get to the spot mine were in. couldnt turn my head a few weeks. still cant turn it very fast.

im not good now unfortunately. i mean; health wise; anywise. i'm a happy fella still, but my health is pretty much at the end of the line. brain tumors were just the start for me. i have them in the spine, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, and a couple other places. luckily they're all benign besides the kidneys. unluckily, the kidneys are clear cell renal carcinoma, and i have 15ish tumors, so they cant cut them out without destroying my entire kidneys. docs plan is to just try to use a couple medicines to stall the growth. he said after that he doesnt know of anything to do. he pretty much said im dead after that; in a few years at best. my parents want to go to better hospitals to get second opinions and stuff.

it was all caused by a rare genetic condition i got called vhl thats about a 3/100,000 chance of getting. hasnt really affected me much though. just had to change what hobbies i do and stuff; life moves on

but @sharkboa please get it checked out. hopefully it's nothing serious. but if it is you need to get on it asap. in my case, i wanted to wait a few weeks to see if it got better before i went to a doctor. luckily, the extreme vertigo hit on day 10 or so. so i freaked out and got it checked. it's very possible the cyst couldve just blocked the drainage before causing my vertigo (depending on how the shape grew), and i wouldve just died right there. waiting a matter of days on head issues is a huge deal. i learned my lesson, hopefully i can teach everyone so they learn the soft way.

Thanks G ill prob see how things are tomorrow since i just noticed this today and its 4 am if its the same or any worse i will go to the ER

try to hydrate well, get a lot of sleep, and get your electrolytes. failing those are common causes of headaches. if you check all those boxes, then youve eliminated the cause of 99% of headaches. and you unfortunately have that 1% that needs special attention

but hopefully doing those 3 things makes it go away. good luck hopefully that knocks it out and it was all nothing

Thats good im glad man i prob would feel the same way and only be scared in my last few moments wanting to hold the hand of someone i love

nah man. i dont know how to describe it. when he told me i was going to die soon, it was like i was reborn. life was totally different then. everything felt different. all the little things didnt matter anymore. i had a whole new view on life. i already was a happy fella but somehow life seemed a million times better than i had previously thought.

i dont know how to describe it, but when he told me i was going to die in a few years, it was like a huge physical wave hit me. but it wasnt like grief or fear or hurt or sadness. i dont want to sound weird but it was almost like the fentanyl they gave me before the brain surgery. it was just euphoria. i physically felt high. and it felt like my whole brain was completely rewired; and i love how its wired now.
