I wasn't concerned about timing the market cos it's for the long term, so I just invested £10k in it about a month ago, and immediately it started to drop

hold it. It will eventually go up. Even if trump doubles down on tarrifs and it stil lgoes down, more domestic industry will be made and bought, s&p 500 will go back up again
