It is permanent but they fade away overtime and become less noticeable
You can get surgery for it and get rid of it easy

This is true. There are laser treatments that can speed it up. Not sure if that's what you meant by surgery or not.

I wasn't sure if it was surgery or not but it completely got rid of stretch marks completely

yeah, you can fix the coloration somewhat with micro-needling.
