This literally just happened. My mom came into my room and said that we needed to have a serious talk, I was immediately pretty worried that she was about to confront me about being on roids since I know that she knows, but she ended up telling me that I have a brother.
I guess in her teenage years she had an accidental pregnancy with her at-the-time boyfriend and she had no choice but to give up him for adoption.
They just recently reconnected about a year ago and she figured she'd tell me now since I'm an adult. The guy lives close, in a small town only an hour and a half away.
The interesting part in all of this is that he has 3 kids and they're still very young. I feel somewhat inclined to make an effort to involve myself in their life since I'm their biological uncle after all, but I don't know him at all. He doesn't even know that I exist.
This literally just happened so idk where to even start, should I reach out to him on facebook or something?
