No matter how hard we try, no matter how many days we get up early, no matter how much we prepare for tomorrow, we will always be in someone else's shadow. There will always be someone better, more skilled, more talented, more capable. An improvement on us that will leave us behind, achieving everything we ever wanted so easily.
Why try?
I suppose it's to live life, to feel what it is to be alive and to live experiences even with a great disadvantage. Even if you know it's over for you, you must be mature and simply accept it. Start living, live alone without the things you long for so much, but that's okay, it's not your fault.
There will always be moments of happiness, no matter how ugly the storm, there will be moments of calm.

Why being skilled for the sake being skilled? Being the best on it's own is pretty pointless, what matters is accomplishing your goals, your skills are simply a means to an end
