I just saved a little bird from my evil cat

I spend an hour stopping him from attacking him and trying to feed him bread while he healed
I never got to see him fly away but I cant see him anymore and he isn't chirping.
I should got rid of my catflap as he keeps going outside and torturing innocent little birds.
He doesnt even eat them so it's not nature he does it for sport
