So I started with duta at around 22 yo. Went straight to it instead of trying finasteride first because of its superior strength. I vaguely remember the hairloss stopped and I was able to keep my nw2 for several years. Then after 3-4 years I started taking it less frequently, thrice a week, then twice, once, and eventually stopped altogether.

I felt the years that I wasn't taking duta my hairline remained pretty much consistent, and that my hair density didn't change much.

But in the last few months I've seen that hair density has reduced a lot and its getting increasingly harder to hide my norwood. Also, when my hair gets a little wet from sweat, rain, etc, my hairstyle goes to waste and my thinning shows clearly. It makes me look older and much uglier.

So I'm back to duta and I will be taking one pill everyday until I see a difference in hair density. I really hope I can go back to the state my hair was at least 6 months ago.

Also Nw2 and started duta recently. Same story, noticed some loss in density and immediately said fuck it and switched from fin. Are you using minoxidil? I've been thinking about trying oral minox since I can get it prescribed easily. Just worried about them heart side effects

No, no minox. Actually I want to take oral minox because I've read its like 3 times more effective than topical, but I'm having trouble finding it. They dont sell it on local pharmacies where I live, unlike with fina, duta and topical minox.

did you ever have any regrowth on dut?

My hairline remained the same I think. It didnt receed further back. I did gain more density because I wasn't losing as many hairs as before.

when did you notice density recovering? i been on fin for 1 year, all it did was stop thinning so i switched to dut. been on for 3 months but no notice of regrowth so far

Sorry I dont remember. Like I mentioned this was around 8 years ago. But I definitely did regain hair density after a few months of using it.

Whats your routine like with dut?

i currently take daily, probably reduce it to every other day in a few months. so you mean you stopped dut for 3-4 years and only noticed thinning recently? it was working for even that long after you stopped?

Seems like it. Just a few months ago I noticed that my scalp was becoming visible at the top mostly and also on my forehead, even when my hair is completely dry. And its getting increasingly harder to hide my nw2 with bangs, because they have lost density.
