My tax code was wrong before, so I was paying too much. But it changed in March, so I shouldn't be paying tax, yet my employer has still taken a fat amount of tax out of my payments on 7th of April and May

Literally makes no sense
I should have 12k of non taxable income. I haven't even earned that much yet, and have paid a few hundred in tax. It's meant to reset at the start of the tax year (6th April), but it clearly hasn't on my employer's end, even tho my tax code means I shouldn't be paying any tax. I'm also due a refund for overpayments from the last tax year

Ok, I'm retarded and didn't know how the tax worked. It's calculated on a monthly average. I sent an email to my employer saying I was paying too much.
But I still paid £45 tax last month for some "NEST pension" which idk wtf is

However, I am still owed overpaid tax from the previous tax year, which I am waiting for
