Literally there’s this girl who always talks to me and admits that she finds me attractive. I just kinda nod and say ok to everything she says and despite the fact that she’s always nice to me and whatnot and has been my friend for like a year I literally have 0 intention on ever dating her.

It’s because guys are always like “oh we got along so well. She was always nice to me and stuff. I don’t get why she won’t give me a chance” when in reality being someone’s friend has nothing to do with them being interested in you. You can get along as much as you want, but the other person may just want someone more attractive.

I would only call it heartless when someone insults or bullies you when they reject you.
