At the age of 20, I can now name a few examples of things I knew about before they became extremely well-known (to the point where it doesn't make any sense).
I legit feel like I'm in the matrix, here is my list:
· All of the Looksmaxxing terms that Gen Z is all of a sudden obsessed with originated from incel forums. As a 16yr old, I literally browsed those forums (including org) when all of this stuff was extremely niche (I was the only young one), never in my life could I imagine some guy at uni mention "LTN" out of nowhere.
· Next, that guy Mr Beast. I watched him as a kid with my sister when he literally had around 100 maybe 200 thousand subscribers. His edgy jokes, the Asian sticker, I was obsessed with all of it. He now has hundreds of millions of subs. How the fuck is it possible I knew him well before that? He was literally a nobody. I even submitted a parody YouTube intro for one of his competitions (he was that small).
· Then there's Fortnite Battle Royale. I started playing that shit 2 weeks after it was released, people barely knew about it at all. I legit remember telling ppl at school how much I loved the game, like I was completely obsessed with it.
Is this actually fucking insane? How could all of this be a coincidence? It's actually frustrating at this point, all I want is an explanation of som
e kind.
