I basically grew up in Africa even tho it wasn’t really Africa but Brazil I lived in the blackest state

85% black so that means I am a bit familiar with African culture even tho admittedly i didn’t care for it much I remember something about jumping waves for good luck on new year

There is this pretty cool African dance called capoeira that nigs do where it’s kinda like a fight but they aren’t actually hitting each other it’s like a fight + dance thing

And the food is also ok ig tho a little too salty for my taste at least nowadays I haven’t been there in a while

Many Brazilians from other states are mixed black and European but in Bahia there’s so many black ppl they managed to remain largely pure

There really are almost no Europeans there mostly black and the non blacks are indigenous Brazilian

I mean Tbf they wouldn’t really hit each other it’s kinda like a martial art but more to express the beauty of fighting without actually making contact with the opponent

It’s mostly a dance style that looks like a fight but they are dodging the blows since it’s scripted so nobody really gets hurt
