My mum and I have been looking for a large 65 inch TV for the living room. The one we have one is like 7 years old and stutters a lot. It's very confusing to navigate all the terminologies, acronyms. It's a mess but I made sense of it all. I could make a thread explaining it

What were you confused about?
For a standard living room tv you don't need to know much.
Unless they want 4k+ quality, oled 120hz which could be unnecessary unless they are really into movies/shows

What were you confused about?
For a standard living room tv you don't need to know much.
Unless they want 4k+ quality, oled 120hz which could be unnecessary unless they are really into movies/shows

There are so many terms these days QDOLED, Mini-LED, Local array dimming, use refresh rate, LED, WOLED. It's very confusing but I've made sense of it all and did my research and saw the differences in person so I now know what is actually good and the rest is marketing fluff

Nice, most of that I feel is only necessary for computer monitors LOL.
You should get them a nice sound bar if you could. It really adds to the experience and totally changes how you consume media

I've had bose and sony. Both very high quality I don't think you would be disappointed with either.
