I lived in Japan for a week, it's nice and safe but I'd probably commit suicide living their longterm

Living their felt so artifical, virtually no one talks to eachother on the street, barely anything going on, everything is wrapped in plastic. I felt so depressed for the final three days, because I had nothing to do. I tried to do a mixer and the language barrier was a little hard, and the girls just made the men pay for the entire thing. You go to a grocery, everything is wrapped in plastic, you go to a resturant most of the only do take outs by using their own version of uber eats, you try to talk to someone whilst waiting on the bus they just blatantly ignore you.

I have lived in a lot of countries, but this was the biggest mental crash I've had, it's too artificial. Their culture is also grumpy, like I was looking at my GPS in the middle of the road, trying to find where the apartment complex I was in, and multiple people just kept purposefully bumping into me, because it's some cultural thing, I couldn't just lay still for a second without anyone bumping into me.
