These are the specs for both cameras.

Back:
16 MP
25mm Focal Length
1.8 f

Front:
6 MP
31mm
2.2

The back camera makes my face appear longer and narrower. Meanwhile the front camera takes photos that look more realistic, the facial ratios are closer to the ones I have measured against the mirror.

I think it has to do with the focal length and f number. Because comparing the image quality of both, they look pretty much the same even though the back cam has 3x the MP of the front cam. The front cam even looks a little sharper under some lightings.

I wonder if this happens to some of you. I always thought that back cameras, having bigger lenses and 3 instead of 1, where more accurate than the front cameras. But in my phone, the front camera seems more accurate at portraying objects and specially faces.

bc its inverted

It is because of lens distortion the only camera focal length you will look normal in is a 50mm. With your front and back camera not having that focal length all you photos will appear to be off, thus making you look worse for most people but for some people it can make them better but thats a small percent of people. Most female ticktockers look better in their phone camera then in real life.

You think the inverted you is ugly because you never get to see it, it’s not even really the lens distortion that’s the issue. I dint like how I look inverted but my fiancé thinks I look the same so I think it’s pretty much all in our head.

As I answered in another comment, both front and back camera photos are inverted. So its not because of that.
