Toptal. I used to be a freelance software dev in my 2nd year od uni. You will get paid anywhere between $60-150/hr depending on experience, skill set. I've seen full-time freelance via Toptal earning deep 6 figures USD annually too. You get all high-quality clients. Startups with huge fundings Fortune 500s etc. It is hard to get clients but once you do they pay you very well.

The only problem is you have to pass their screening test and multiple rounds of interviews which to put it bluntly is not easy. Also I often got overseas clients from the U.S and U.K which because of timezone difference can fuck up your sleep schedule. You'll also often find yourself dealing with high-level managers not senior engineers or IT heads that understand and know what to ask and give proper deadlines but niggas in management that gives vague requirements and are frustrating to work with, sometimes even Wall Street executives who hate your guts and only care about getting work done as quickly as possible at any cost. But if you can handle all that, the money is excellent and consistent if you do you will be earnings big bucks guaranteed. I would still do it but rn I am chilling at work.

Not just full stack. Vackend, frontend, DevOps, UI/UX, QA, data science, product management etc. Companies can hire a full elite-level IT team from there
It's all easy to pick up except data science and actually writing the software.

DevOps niggas don't do shit.

I do DevOps when I deploy and it's understandable why it's a job because I can't be bothered to be there all the time.

my team rotates on-call duties, so i am not always the one getting pinged at 3 but yeah it does kinda get boring.

That kind of payout seems unbelievable. Especially on the internet where staff force is globalised.

Thr workload and the kind of projects you get kinda reflect them. The companies on there dont mind overpaying because they give you the Job of mission critical frameworks
