We were best friends in a small Midwestern town as children but drifted apart after high school. I met a beautiful woman who I didn't recognize but seemed to know a lot about me at my high school's 10 year reunion. We spent the night talking and she revealed that she was my childhood best friend was undergoing HRT. We kept talking after that and 3 years later we were married. We have been together for 7 years now, live in a city where no one knows about her transition (her choice, I have no issue with people knowing), and are in the process of adopting our first child. AMA.
