My company's planning to expand operations in a few countries Australia and Vietnam are on the list and I was the first to put my hand up. Don't care where they send me. Vietnam, Kenya, Australia. I'm down for anything.I don't have any major commitments-no kids, no house, no strings attached so relocating isn't a big deal for me.

My boss did mention I might need to handle some management and executive stuff, which is outside my usual tech work, but I'm cool with it. Plus, there's a nice bonus in it so that's a sweet extra. Other employees were hesitant and were like Vietnam? Really? Who cares tbh

Work life balance means being poorer, healthcare and education are not free at all. You will never get to be part of native social circles, the only friends and relationships you would make are with other indians or pakis. Europeans can't break into other european social circles let alone someone from south asia. The only chance you have is befriending some outcasts, be rich or be very white passing and good looking like Nic Kaufmann (who is half-german half-indian). There are some majority south asian neighbourhoods in UK and other countries, with a good salary and hobbies you could cope well but forget about feeling welcomed and at home.
