I might have been mewing wrong this entire time

For the last 3 months, I've mewed decently hard to the point where not mewing feels uncomfortable, but the problem I just noticed today is that when i mew, my tongue is sitting directly on top of my upper back teeth, and I'm unable to close my jaw, to resolve this, i closed my jaw and then put the tongue on the pallete, I've found that it's just really hard to keep this posture, doesn't feel right or feels like it isn't doing anything, someone link a fix to this
