There's so many ways to get out from under your parents.

If I were you I'd immediately get on with a fish processing contract, 2-3 months (your choice) in Alaska. Silver Bay is good. Every time I've sent my resume to them because of a close call with almost getting fired from the two jobs I've had since coming back to USA they've gotten back with me within 3 weeks tops, wanting to schedule an interview. You'll make at least $1,600 a week, but the kicker is you'll spend relatively no money while you're there because you'll be living in a dorm and your food will be provided free of charge. And after your contract is complete you'll get full flight reimbursement.

After that I'd go back to live with my parents for a week or two then find a recruiter in Vietnam or whatever to secure an English teaching contract.

I think fruit picking has relatively the same sort of advantages in Europe. You can pick fruits for damn good money while having all your accommodations taken care of. There was a user here a few years back who was in your situation who enfed up doing just that.
