To give context I go to the gym 3 times a week. 6 different exercises 3 of between 6-12 reps depending on exercise each. Each exercise targets different muscle groups, but the whole routine is full body. Sure it builds muscle, but I’m trying to lose overall body fat. I was told to be in a calorie deficit and burn calories, but what should I do when I enter the gym to do that. Is my full body workout enough. Should I be doing cardio, and using the treadmill? What should I do.

Like LP said there are plenty of threads in regards to workout plans. Nevertheless , you seem to be a bit confused about weight loss. If you are in a calorie deficit then you will lose weight even if you never step foot in a gym. However , the gym and specifically weigh training is the one of the best tools to make this process easier and successful . Doesn't matter what your split is if its ppl or full body , as long as you are building muscle this well help you lose weight as the more muscle you have the more calories your body needs to sustain that extra muscle.

Thanks I understand I appreciate it a lot. I only asked, because I struggle with finding work out plans, because there’s so much information and it’s saturated so it’s hard to figure out what one to pick when I’m inexperienced and don’t know what I’m looking out for.

The easiest split to do 3days a week is push, pull, legs. It's very beginner friendly whilst also letting you focus each muscle group. A simple calorie deficit will make you lose weight but cardio wise, sprinting or a brisk walk is the best. I advise walking for 15 minutes every so often to help burn fat.
