I need more tips on talking to people

I keep running away from people and everyone thinks I’m odd. My local shop also think Im stealing because I keep running out of there. I had one conversation a week ago that went alright but I was lucky that the girl only talked about things I rehearsed in the mirror. It likely won’t go like that agian and I’ll run away and another person will think I’m odd.
