Yes, you can in the beginning. But try to progressively overload the muscles just like with any other body part.

Got even better solution. something you can do at home place your neck at the edge of your bed. Place your head at the edge move your neck up and down with reps do 50
turn around so that your head is facing the floor do another 50.

for even thicker look go on your sides and do 50
