meditation is an easy way to start
if you are more serious I've heard that frequent "heroic doses" of shrooms can permanently shrink the amygdala (do your research) but you could also develop schizophrenia if you have it in your family so be careful.
ssri's also help if you take them for a year
basically you have to train yourself to not react to emotional stimuli and your amygdala will shrink
