No I don’t put it under my eyes. Been using it for just over a month, put it on every night. I put on a moisturiser after showering which is like spf 30 I think.

It’s not gonna show short term but your skin is incredibly sun sensitive after applying tretinoin. Sunscreen after is a must when applying it

Then just don't use tbh. From what I've heard it can actually cause reversed effects without sunscreen because the skin gets super sensitive. But you said your moisturizer has sun protective effects so maybe it's enough. I'll get a sunscreen tho, just to be sure.

I'll definitely get sunscreen when I start taking tret. For now I'm only using retinol 0.2% for a couple weeks.

It still removes dead skin cells and exposes the sensitive layers to the sun so I'd be careful with that. It could cause damage long-term that isn't visible in the early stages, kind of like with smoking.
