I need to move (to a colder place).

I've been wanting to do it for a while now but tonight just solidified my need to.

I just saw one of the biggest spiders I've ever seen IRL on the floor of my room.

My room is also the basement and I think that makes it more prone to bugs too but I haven't seen any in months and today was one of the only properly warm days so far this year.

I genuinely miss when everyday peaked at 20-30f (-6.6c to -1.1c) and every night was 10-15f (-12.2c to -9.4c).

However, today it was about 75f (24c) out and of course now the bugs are invading my space.

I think I'd rather deal with those cold days again than to be dealing with the bugs.
Especially because everyone loves to come outside when it gets even slightly warm and swarm the parks. There are way less people out when it's cold.

I would move to Iceland because it's more temperate-cold and doesn't get giga-cold very often. Average winter day is a bit above freezing (I think) and the summer is about 55f (12.7c).

I can't move countries though, so my options are looking like Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Minnesota.

There are some temperate-cold places in Alaska (costal Alaska) but that's way too far for me and I want to be on the mainland.

There's North Dakota but I don't think I would fit in with their culture.

I'm thinking my best bet is the Minneapolis area or maybe somewhere in Vermont.
The winters are longer, and colder.
I'd prefer temperate cold but this is the best I can do. I'll probably end up missing having some warm months anyway.

At least I won't have to deal with the brutal hellish, humid Maryland summers. Especially June and July, it's death tier here during that time of year.

You haven’t seen Vermont spiders I see, they can be huge too. Maybe you can move to Montana or Washington state

You're a Vermontcel? Or you've just been there before?
I guess everywhere has spiders. This feels hopeless.
Surely they don't come out in the winter though, right? I almost never see any bugs in the winter here.
Although, I did see a lady bug in my bedroom back in February. But they're cute and harmless.

I’m not from the USA but Vermont have a wet climate so there will be spiders. You gotta move to a dry place to not see bugs

You recommended Washington state earlier that place is giga wet (in the Western part). It rains all of the time there. Also, isn't Australia super dry and they have lots of bugs? Same with Phoenix, Arizona and deserts in general.
