I Painted this Still Life Back in 2017.

I titled it "Battered Oil Can-- Composition in Orange and Green" (oil on masonite; 18"X16").

From looking at this painting, I can see that I used to be much more optimistic than I am now. This was pre-Covid and before St. George was canonized, so the country hadn't completely gone to shit yet.

I thought I'd never say this, but I miss 2017.
