I personally think Ramanujan is a bit overrated

Yes his theories and his work was revolutionary and by all means he deserves the respect that he commands but imo there are mathematicians better than him even in India itself that mog him. What made Ramanujan famous wasn't just his raw mathematical output, but the super human nature of how his mind worked and understood math combined with a romantic and tragic story which feels like it belongs in a novel.
