I realised today that I experience emotional loneliness

I was in psychology class today and we had a group project and I had to make mine about loneliness.

I had always thought that loneliness was just the lack of friends and social groups but I found out while researching the Topic that its actually called social loneliness when you have no friends or close people in your life but there is another type of loneliness too

It’s called emotional loneliness and it means that you have friends and people around you but all of it is just not deep in Any way kind of like you have a lot of friends but not a single good friend

I started thinking about that I may have it and the ultimate realisation came when i thought that i should tell one of my friends about this but then i realised that I actually don’t have a friend close enough to tell this

There are probably more types of loneliness because I experienced another form of loneliness that cannot be described by either social loneliness or emotional loneliness. I guess it would be another form of emotional loneliness because I did and still have good friends.

that realization sucks, but yeah, emotional loneliness is rough when you’ve got people around but no real depth. Still, it’s a step above having literally no one at all. At least there are some connections there that could potentially grow deeper with time and effort.
