They are so awkward to be around. I genuinely feel uncomfortable. A new grad joined our company, and I have to baby him. I kind of feel sorry for him but he makes me so embarrassed in our team calls or in real life meetings with clients. Just the way he acts or talks. I really don't want him to open his mouth, but how else is he supposed to learn. I understand he is inexperienced, but he cannot use his own discretion, build rapport or act normal around humans. I say this as a non-NT person myself but at least I can act NT in given situations. He is smart but I'm not surprised before our company decided to hire him nobody else did. Yesterday we was in a conference-type event, I found myself subconsciously running away from him, but he was following me everywhere.

I feel you, I had this coworker his eyes would dart around everywhere you can tell he was always on edge and anxious.

Trust me there are absolute trucels I work with. Including a 5'3 Italiancel. But he is NT and so easy to get along with. Yeah no women would consider him desirable but I bet they wish Chad had the same mentality.

Yeah. First jobs are always daunting. Faking it til you make it basically. I am actually non-NT as well, but there are levels to this. Idk if this guy is salvageable - I will tell my manager his skills are best suited to count numbers behind a desk tbh.
