I really don’t care about the stuff other people care about.

I honestly don’t care about cars, having big homes, or having the latest iPhone.

Everytime I’m given the opportunity to get something expensive I just have a hard time picking what I want, and I think it’s because I don’t really want anything and that I’m content with the things that I currently have.

Yeah true

Most people begin to fall into habits like buying new things that they dont need..consumerism..

But to be honest im completely fine with whatever i have at the moment and i enjoy doing things people criticize most of the time because it doesn’t bother me what other’s opinions are if I like it

That’s the word I was looking for, consumerism

It’s all just blatant consumerism, basically a bunch of copes to make up for one’s self - inadequacy.

I don't feel too drawn to the newest, shiniest things. I care more about functionality than glamor. Car culture always seemed silly to me because they all ultimately do the same thing. To varying degrees of efficiency, granted, but nonetheless. Most people are shallow and don't think for themselves which is why they buy all the newest, trendiest things.
