Most don't care much about people other than themselves, so even if they were to find out, they'd forget about it pretty quickly. And even then, many may relate to your situation.

That being said, as a rule, you shouldn't really care what people think about you because they don't know you. In fact, nobody will ever be able to know you as well as you know yourself, so you shouldn't value others' perceptions so much.

They don't have the context for your actions that you do, so have some self-acceptance, and improve yourself along the path of maximizing your potential. You should never feel embarrassed in your attempts at trying to connect with others, especially romantically. Perhaps you did some cringe shit, but it was in pursuit of something pure, and you should never feel ashamed of that.
