I recently developed marks similar to these ones on my lower back. What could this mean?

Pretty sure those are Stretch marks

Did you gain or lose a lot of weight recently?

I gained like 8 kgs over the summer but my face and body look slimmer, so it can’t have been muscle or fat gain. And I haven’t been eating in a surplus either

can be from growth spurts

Not a big deal. I have these too. A lot of men get them during puberty when growing. They fade away w/ time, no one cares. I wouldn't worry my man

Well I’ve only grown like 1 cm since then so idk. Maybe I’m starting a growth spurt now?

He said he grew 1 cm since gaining them, those are stretch marks from gaining weight and not height since 1cm isn't enough to create those marks.

If he grew 5+ cm really quick he could have gained them from growing too quickly for his skin to keep up.

I meant that I grew 1 cm since I gained 8 kgs, not since I got the marks. I noticed the marks yesterday so they are fairly recent

It means your back is growing crocked and you have scoliosis

Yes it's from the weight gain not the height gain.

I had a guy in my old class who was 6'7 who had no back stretch mark because he grew at the same speed all his years.

Meanwhile there was a 6'4 guy who had insane stretchmarks all over his back because he grew like 18cm in 1 year.

Probably from quick weight gain.

I got small stretch marks on my stomach because I gained weight quickly a few years ago so that my skin didn't have time to adapt.
