I decided to stop being a “nice guy” and apologizing without doing anything wrong. I promised myself I’ll never apologize unless I do something actually immoral and/or unethical. Just because someone got hurt or offended by some things I said, doesn’t make my actions wrong.

I will never apologize for the stuff I said to that lovely lady, even if she never talks to me ever again. My principles are more important than her attention. I’ll stand up for myself and never back down.

UPDATE • I’m afraid this won’t last. I really don’t want to revert back to my old “nice-guy” ways, but it’s prone to occurring. I’ll try my best to be a man of his word.

Why?

Because for every person that you've felt you've wronged, the only correct course of action is to never do "it" again. Words don't really cut it, only actions count. I'm being half-serious when I say only your mother should ever hear those words; it just highlights the absurdity of ever saying it to someone else because it's fundamentally meaningless even when said to the very person who raised you.
