As somebody who is starting to try to sell off a bunch of games, I think I now understand why people take the pennies on the dollar route and dump everything at a game store or just sell to locals at a yard/garage sale. Trying to sell online is a huge pain in the ass if you have a sizable collection, since you have to clean stuff enough to make presentable, test things, photograph everything, determine what is actually worth the hassle of selling on its own versus putting into a bulk lot, acquiring boxes and bubble mailers (which, again, you have to get ones which accommodate single games and whatever sizes of lots), waiting for somebody to finally come along who is willing to pay close to market rate, packaging everything, paying exorbitant ebay fees, and ultimately accepting that a lot of old game shit is still worth sub-$50 on its own, meaning that you're putting a lot of time and effort into something that typically offers a relatively low and delayed return.
And that's not even getting into dealing with potential postal damage or picky buyers who have a meltdown and want refunds because a scratch wasn't visible enough in your photographs of a $20 game or whatever.
