I’m in muay thai now. In my gym there’s bjj also so I might take it. The only problem is that I will go to the army in the summer so I can’t grind it.OP get back asap it’s never too late

FinlandWhat country bro?
yea for me I didn’t compete until I had trained for a realllly long time. I wanted to be comfortable and actually WANT to go out and compete before I went and did itAlso I think I didn’t continue was because I was scared of competitions or something.
Ah I see, that’s whyFinland

Bjj is like chess but for your bodyI wanna do BJJ for a change tbh. The art itself is so fun and I feel like it's less mentally exhausting than striking arts. I've been boxing for years now but man, no matter how good or strong you get that fear of getting punched in the face never leaves, you gotta check yourself mentally each time
It would be nice to switch into BJJ whenever I grow tired of boxing
I think it depends on the level tbhIdk do bjj or something it’s safer
Bjj is safe for beginners. Also people in bjj tend to be more mature than in the striking artsI think it depends on the level tbh
Yeah for beginners any combat sport is safe but I mean like mid to high and it depends what club ur in and how the coach is etcBjj is safe for beginners. Also people in bjj tend to be more mature than in the striking arts
Exactly, it's more of a thinking man's game than other combat arts. So many different possibilities and the sport will only keep growing, unlike something such as boxing where people have been throwing the same punches for ages, it's reached a point where everything has been done and innovation is difficult to achieve atpBjj is like chess but for your body
In my experience bjj is harder than other martial arts but the people there are more respectful.Yeah for beginners any combat sport is safe but I mean like mid to high and it depends what club ur in and how the coach is etc
And if you’re a striker then the natural route is to compete because there’s no other route.Exactly, it's more of a thinking man's game than other combat arts. Yeah definitely but in my opinion depends on coach and peopleIn my experience bjj is harder than other martial arts but the people there are more respectful.
Yeah exactly. In muay thai I currently have 3 coaches 1 of which is a total doucheYeah definitely but in my opinion depends on coach and people
I'm probs starting next year but I have to stop again in the summer because I go to the army.No one is stopping you from starting again
I’ve stopped and started BJJ twice, and just starting again
I’ve stopped and started lifting like 3 times, but I’ve stuck with it

Well in Finland every male over the age of 18 is conscripted.I really wanted to join the army, but they wouldn’t take me for a health issue I had as a baby
And the bad thing is that I most likely don't have the time to train. I also don't know if the weekends are free.Well in Finland every male over the age of 18 is conscripted.
Have you ever wrestled? Do you understand that it's violent?yeah? u like wrestling with other sweaty men?
oh yeah? u like when other men pin u down violently?Have you ever wrestled? Do you understand that it's violent?
You weird bro. It doesn't feel good when someone mounts you. Have you ever been thrown to the ground by a security guard for example? It doesn't feel good.oh yeah? u like when other men pin u down violently?
