I remember being surrounded by a bunch of foreign hooligans a few years ago

I was downtown, intending to study at the central library but it was packed so I went outside and studied nearby. I had my book laid out there with the page open. Out of nowhere, an entire group of hooligans all came near where I was. They were like 10 to 15 people in total and they surrounded me. One of them stands behind me and starts to read what I was reading. I was thinking in my head they’d be beating the hell out of me any minute now and then another one of them turns to me, shows me an empty weed bag and he says in a thick Eastern European accent “good shit” before throwing it away and I said “yes it is!”, then we laughed a little bit. Then they stuck around for a while before leaving. A man approached me a minute later asking me which way they went and I showed him, I asked where they were from and he said Croatia and that he was with them. Then he thanked me and left. I asked a Croatian online friend if Croat hooligans were racists and she said they’re huge racists so I was really glad they were being cool with me.
